On Nov. 6, 2012, Washington voters approved Initiative 502, legalizing the regulated cultivation and sale of adult-use cannabis. A recent analysis showed that the industry’s economic impact totaled $2.7 billion in revenue and 18,360 jobs.
- Cannabis Job Requirements & Application Process:
There are currently no licenses or cards required to be an employee at a Washington cannabis facility.
However, you must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Be willing to undergo a background check
- Cannabis Job Background Check Requirements:
Not all cannabis businesses require you to undergo a background check. Those that do may exempt some prior cannabis charges. More information is available through the business doing the hiring.
