Company & Role Overview

Summary

Part A: To be successful at this job, you must have an excellent experienced foundation in classic car repairs, upgrades including fuel injection, sub chassis modernization, and modern crate engine replacements. In other words: How to correctly repair classic technology and how to ‘resto-mod’ classic vehicles (and how-to guestimate the repair time). However, this is a job not only requiring high levels of competency, but a willingness to work hard, work smart, be self-starting, produce high quality results the first time, and have loyalty to the team and company.

Working Environment

6 paid holidays per year. (additional insurance benefits and matching 401k are under consideration)

Hourly rate is very dependent upon your work experience, related job knowledge, references, ASE Master certifications, and overall ability to be a success in the job position.

Potential hourly rate: $29 to $$$$?? per clock hour depending on factors above.

About American Muscle

Muscle car is a term for a high-performance American car, by some definitions an intermediate sized car fitted with a large displacement V8 engine. Historically they were all rear-wheel drive, but that changed with technological advance. EDITED

Role Requirements

Responsibilities

Part B: This is not a ‘flat-rate’ position, not a new car dealership, and not a ‘follow the computerized diagnostic routine. Most of our repairs/restoration are performed on 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s vintage American vehicles. Considering the vehicle’s age involved, your experience and certifications are key factors. The environment requires that you be primarily self-sufficient; however, peer and management support is available when needed.

Physical Requirements

(No Information)

Experience

Part D: Compensation is provided in two ways. 1. An hourly rate based on clock time with an expectation of a 40 hours work week, Saturday and Sunday work is generally not required. Depending on your billable work week, a weekly bonus of up to $300.00 is provided in addition to your normal hourly earnings. The accumulated weekly bonuses are paid monthly. Payroll is every two weeks. (and yes, the checks are always on time and will never bounce)

Education

Part E: Benefits include excellent PPO medical insurance with 80% of the employee’s premium being paid by the company. 2 weeks of paid time off (PTO) per year is provided. PTO begins accruing and is usable after the first 30 days of employment.
